The Lord answers prayers

The Lord answers prayers, even short, loud, fast ones. On our way to Denver we had a scary thing happen to us. It was early in the morning and it was raining and the roads were wet. Scott was driving and we hydro-planed, on the free-way, going about 80 mph. We spun about 3 times in one direction, then our whole bumper scraped along one of the gaurd rail, then we spun about 2 more times in the other direction. We ended up facing the wrong direction, with the semi that was behind up, stopped about 20-30 feet behind us. While we were spinning, it was very scary, and I said the loudest, shortest prayer of my life. The Lord listened and helped us be safe. About 5 seconds after we stopped, a cop wizzed by with lights on, and didn't even notice us. We were all fine and even the car is fine, it's just uglier.
We enjoyed a trip to Denver to visit family. We stayed for a week with my sister and her family. While staying with them we painted the exterior of their house, relaxed, and visited the Museum of Nature and Science. It was fun and Evelyn expecially enjoyed the kids' room in the museum. This picture is of her wearing an aligator tail. We also visited Scott's grandparents for a few days. His mom, aunt, and 4 cousins were also staying with his grandparents. We went to the Denver zoo with Scott's mom and had fun enjoying the animals with Evelyn.
Evelyn really likes being a big sister and is generally very good and gentle with Allison. However, today I caught Evelyn trying to feed her KIX to Allison. Allison was crying and had 2 KIX in her mouth and Evelyn was about to put a third in. They are very cute girls and we love having them in our family to help complete it. We are glad that they love each other so much and are starting to become good friends. This picture was taken today when Evelyn was sharing her blanket with Allison and snuggling her.
