We enjoyed a wonderful and relaxing Christmas morning together. The girls slept until at least 7:30. We went to get them up and saw that they had not yet opened the presents that we left on their beds. We wrapped books that they were supposed to open and look at when they woke up. But the didn't really get they they were supposed to open them with out us and were just playing together nicely in their room.
Natalie enjoying her Christmas morning bottle with daddy.
The "drawing boards" from Grandma and Grandpa Asay were a huge hit! As I knew they would be. They've love using our neighbors "big drawing boards" each time we've gone on a road trip. Since we only had the little ones that were too small to even trace their hands, a little birdie whispered in Grandma Asay's ear they they'd love big ones. And they do love them! They still use them every day!
The Christmas morning mess is always fun! Natalie thought it was so great to have toys and wrapping paper everywhere!
The toy Cash register from Santa was a big hit. The first time Scott showed them what to do with the microphone part of it he said, "clean up on aisle two, clean up on aisle two please." Can you guess what is the only thing the girls say into that microphone? Yep, exactly what he said. It's quite cute.
Allison loved opening present from under the tree.
I have a good lookin' little family! Even when they're all in their jammies they're all quite cute!
Natalie playing with her new book from Grandma Sjoblom! It's a fun nursery rhyme book that all 3 of the girls love.
Natalie playing with her very own little yard dollie. It's so tiny and cute.
It didn't take her long to decide it was a pretty good thing to put in her mouth.
Natalie, playing with Allison's new book from Grandma Sjoblom.
Evelyn playing with a few of her yarn dollies.
Evelyn opening a gift and Natalie "reading" her cute nursery rhyme book from Grandma Sjoblom.
Cute little matching girls loving their new toys.
Allison showing us all of the candy canes that she found.
Candy canes may have been what the girls had been MOST excited about. And each time a anyone asked what they wanted Santa to bring them for Christmas, they said a candy cane. Santa had and easy job! They were easy to please!
Evelyn sporting her new apron that I painted. Now she has one that actually fits her when she helps me in the kitchen. Also sporting two wrists full of new flower bracelets.
Happy, smiley, little princess loved her new animal puzzle that makes animal noises.
Allison doing some candy cane gathering.
This girls is seriously so happy! We love her and her sweet little smile! She is sometime almost deliriously happy! She's so funny and so much fun!
Natalie playing with a new ball with green sparkles in it.
Allison discovering the sled that Santa brought. They were so excited to have their own sled! And this particular sled worked really well for the little hill in front that we used it on.
Natalie's "deer in the headlights" look. Allison playing with a "shot" for the fun Dr. set from their awesome uncle Dan.
Allison was being the Dr. and the patient and trying to look in her own ear.
Evelyn really just sat and played with the toy cash register and the food that came with it for a very long time. That's why you see her just sitting there in all of these pictures.
Allison sporting some new Princess shoes, with some awesome green socks!
After breakfast you can bet the girls were ready to enjoy their long awaited big candy canes. Evelyn chose to start with the curved part.
Allison started on the straight stick part.
And Natalie enjoyed some green beans or peas while they at their candy canes.
This is Natalie's sweet, "Tada" pose that she would always do any time we said, "tada." It was so cute. She did this starting at like 9 months, and after she did it she'd clap for herself. Such a sweet girl!
Natalie also liked the Dr. set. Although she has not quite figured out how to use it correctly, she found a way to enjoy it for now.
Christmas night we had some friends over for dinner. We fed all the kids first then turned on Polar Express for them in the other room. Then the adults enjoyed a very non-traditional Christmas dinner of yummy salad, lasagna, corn and garlic bread! It was so much fun! Thanks for joining us and being our family for Christmas dinner.
Old video from Nov. or Dec. but it's was so cute when Natalie would stick her little bum clear up in the air when she was crawling around.
Opening their camera. They were pretty excite about it!
I'm so glad that I waited until the very end to have them open the camera. It kind of trumped all for a while!
The girls had so much fun with THEIR OWN new camera that was OUR OLD one. It' amazing how awful it is at taking pictures, even thought 6 years ago when Scott got it for Christmas it seemed decent. They loved and still love it very much! We have to use rechargeable batteries. Otherwise they'll run down a set each day. Now we just need to re-find the charger that has gone missing.
The other day I found so pretty hilarious pictures that one of the girls friends took. She caught some funny faces and awesome outfits on their camera. I not longer have the cord to download the pictures or I'd post them as well.

What a fun gift! Cadence loves to play with our camera and try to take pictures (sometimes of herself)I'll bet she would love her own too. I noticed you had mom's Christmas Morning DVD in, how fun. Does the camera not have an SD card? That's how we always load our pictures. All the gifts looked so fun and your girls are so adorable. I kinda felt like I was there with you which was so fun. Wish we could afford to come visit. Love you all, Shell
