We went for a walk in Sapsucker woods on Thanksgiving morning. There was snow blowing around and it was cold but it was nice to get out. The girls had been asking to go on a bike ride for a long time.
Right when we close the door after putting the girls to bed, Allison always yells, "Hey, I have a question, (or, Hey, I have a secret.) maybe we can go on a bike ride after naps." I decided to bundle them up and take them out to ride their bikes. They were quite a sight all bundled up with a helmet on top of all that, then riding their bikes around in the blowing snow. But that thought it was great!
These girls are best friends and they love each other so much! Evelyn is always trying to make sure Allison does not get left out and that she is protected. Sweet sisters!

Evelyn is so big and she's such a sweetheart! We love having her sweet personality to brighten our days!

Evelyn wanted to help Allison see what she was seeing, so she went behind her and tried to help her point to it too.

The Steri-strips made Evelyn's head look pretty bad since they had lots of dried crusty blood under them. The split was a clean line about 1 inch long. It's healing pretty well. We are just putting Vitamin E oil on it and rubbing it for about 30 seconds once or twice a day. The rubbing really helps to break down the scar tissue that it trying to make it be a raised scar. She really didn't like the rubbing at first. Once we told her that she could choose to count to 20 or 30 while we do it, she was okay with it. Counting to 30 is great because it takes her a bit longer. When she gets to 20, she tries to say 31, 32, 33... next and skip the 20's. I think she's finally figured it out after practicing it for a couple weeks.

Evelyn was pretty proud of her "crack on her head." She always told everyone about it and wanted to show them too.
She was at least willing to ice (or should I say, "ravioli") her head a few time the day of and the day after.

In this picture there was still come crusty glue stuck on it.
This is how it looked a week after it happened. Once the steri-strips and crusty glue came off it didn't look so bloody and ugly. It didn't get closed up as closely as I would have liked. But hopefully we can make the scar not be too noticeable.
Natalie got into the humidifier that was in her room and got the lid off and dumped some water. She's starting to really get into things. She's so busy and so fast at getting from one thing to the next.
Any time the dishwasher is open, Natalie is there. Standing up to it and trying to pull out all of the silverware.
And she's so happy about it!
She loves her baths and gets the bathroom more wet than both of her sisters combined if I let her play and splash for a few minutes!
She was so excited to get into the bath and play. She has such a wonderful smile!
Daddy loves snuggling with two of his very favorite girls! They think it's pretty great too.
The girls love it when Scott gets down on the floor and chases them. I love watching them all play together and have so much fun! I'm sure our downstairs neighbors don't love it quite as much!
They thoroughly enjoyed their smoothies and made sure that everyone could see that it was enjoyed and they they saved some for later.

We made homemade pretzels one morning. This is not the recipe I'll use again because it was pretty bland but the girls though it was pretty fun. We put cinnamon sugar on some and coarse sea salt on the others.
The one on the left is the one Evelyn did all by herself. The one on the right is Allison's. She added so much flour that it rolled really nice and smooth. She needed my help to cross it, but she did the rest herself.
Allison loved rolling and rolling and rolling her dough.
Evelyn was better about not adding too much flour.
Natalie sweetheart just loves to stand up to everything. Luckily she's not walking quite yet. Allison started walking when she was Natalie's age. Natalie will not be too much longer before she's walking, but I'll just have to try to enjoy her being a baby a little longer before she just wants to run away.
Notice that she doesn't even really care when she crashes her face into the toy. She puts up with so much that she hardly mentions a bonk unless it it pretty good. Even then she's pretty quick to smile again! She's such a happy, sweet, good baby!
Natalie is even better at standing now that she's been doing it for at least a month and a half.
Yeah, I would not fall asleep for a nap if I was doing this either! She's such a little stink sometimes. Who's going to fall asleep or fall back asleep if they're standing and shaking their crib and dancing? Obviously not Natalie.
Here are a few pictures of the cute kids eating their Thanksgiving dinner at our friends the Jones' house. Thanks for having us over! It was perfect and all the pies were to die for!
Natalie and Zach-y had fun crawling around on the floor together. He just wanted to hug and snuggle her a lot.
Allison's little friends Emmy (lighter brown hair) and Lindsey (dark brown hair) both have lots of beautiful curly hair. Allison thought it was pretty great to sit at a little table with her friends and no big people. These little sweet girls enjoyed their little Thanksgiving dinner together.
Starting with Evelyn and going around clockwise: Evelyn, Bailey Jones, Hannah Jones, Brinley Maksymov and Emma Jones. These girls had fun eating Thanksgiving dinner to their hearts content. We feed all the kids then we sat down and enjoyed some really great food for ourselves. We sent all the kids up to our apartment to watch a movie. It was great. After we went home, I was surprised to fine such a small mess at our house, after that many kids were unsupervised in our apartment for a couple hours.
