Christmas Eve was spent with our friends the Hagedorn's! The kids had a great time and they loved playing down in their basement before dinner and we love the quiet! Thanks for having us over! It was a great time! And the pile or salt that ended up on Becky's plate when she was using the salt grinder to salt her potatoes was awesome!
Looks like we stuck it out to get snowed on but nope, that's all salt! Pretty hysterical!
We saw some luminaries on our way home and it was the perfect drive to take on Christmas Eve. Scott grew up taking a drive on Christmas to see all the neighborhoods that lined their streets, driveways, walkways and roofs with luminaries. Luminaries are paper lunch bags filled with a little sand, with a lit tea light candle in them. It's a New Mexico tradition so it was fun to see a few homes in a row on Forest Home Drive lined with them on our drive home! Glad we went that way.
We came home to presents on the living room floor. The Pajama Fairy had brought them while we were over at our friends for dinner. The girls thought that matching pj's were pretty cool! These girls are so much fun! They are so sweet and it was so fun to see their excitement with the magic of Christmas! So fun!
Enjoying a little bottle before bed since she was way to distracted at our friends house to drink it.
Sweet Natalie fell asleep, and of course her cute little bum was sticking up in the air. She was sleeping peacefully, waiting for something she had not clue about, but thought was pretty cool in the morning! She loved all the toys and wrapping paper all over the living room floor in the morning.
Yes, this is a picture of a child, not just a pile of blankets. Evelyn is sleeping soundly, waiting for Santa to come. She's under there, somewhere.
Allison is sleeping soundly with all of her random stuffed animals blanket and little pillow and story that she was supposed to open and read when she woke up. For some reason the girls didn't get that we had wanted them to open the gift and read the book when they woke up but stay in bed and talk together for a while in the morning. So we had them open them when we went to get them up.
Stocking and things from Santa
The girls love their matching aprons I made and they love to be mommies little helpers when I cook. The huge coloring books with lots of stickers were big hit. Thanks dollar store. Dress up shoes were a favorite of course....but they don't work too well on the kitchen floor. Much too slippery. Dr. set and cash register are the things that I prompted them to want from Santa. They love playing Dr. on each other and they love to use their own "credit card" or whatever other cards they can find to swipe and pay. They love Hi Ho Cherry-O. It's not the funnest game to play with them but the LOVE it!
They thought the sled was going to be so great that they didn't even wait to go outside before they started pulling each other around in it. It really was the perfect sled for the little hill out front that we used it on all winter.
Decorated tree with gifts under it on Christmas Eve. The ribbon really added a lot, I was glad that I added it after a week of thinking the tree looked too bare. Since our artificial tree had been so much smaller, the same amount of decorations on the huge real tree looked pretty pathetic. So I added candy canes and about a week later, pretty shimmery silver ribbon.

I LOVE your artwork for the girls' room and your living room, you never cease to amaze me! What fun aprons for Christmas too, I miss you and you cute family and I can't believe that your adorable little Natalie is already one and I haven't even met her yet.
